2022 Mission Reunion
This is the information about the reunion from Angus Fox:
The reunion will last from 4 p.m to 10 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be a blessing on the food, and dinner will be served. From 4 to 6 p.m. there will be at least one TV screen showing digitized slides from my mission and slides of others who want to bring their mission slides in digital format. I will probably set up the slide displays on Linux boxes with a 2GB hard drives. There should be plenty of room for thousands of slides on the drive. Toward the end of the time period, we will enter the chapel for an opening prayer, several Spanish hymns from the Eduardo Balderas hymn book (I will provide copies of the hymns), sharing of mission experiences and testimonies, with a closing hymn and closing prayer. The chapel has a great pipe organ.
Anyone who wants to arrive before 4 p.m. to help me set up chairs and tables will be welcome.
The dinner will be potluck. I will provide drinks (bottled water, seltzer water, zero calorie vitamin water, caffeine-free diet Coke and Dr. Pepper, zero-calorie mandarin orange and peach sparkling water beverages, diet A&W root beer and French bread for all. I may, again, make some tortilla Española. The boiling olive oil makes a huge mess. I made gallons of gaspacho three years ago, but did not add salt or spices. It was hardly touched by those in attendance. I may make more, but will not make the same mistake. Feel free to bring your favorite dish. Cristy Valentine has suggested that Costco has many plates of sandwich wraps and hors d’oeuvres that are delicious and reasonably priced
Dress is casual. If you want to wear suits and look like missionaries, that is OK, too.
Over 100 people have indicated that they will attend. Because of the large number, the reunion will definitely be held at our local chapel in the Sherwood Hills neighborhood of Provo. The address is 4210 Foothill Drive (1000E), Provo, UT 84604.
Thank you,
Angus Fox
